Who we are:
We are a couple small homesteads in Michigan, each of us raising chickens, bunnies & different Doodles! (Some have goats & horses too!)
Julie started out fostering over 150 dogs and puppies with a local animal rescue for the past 10 years. (Specialty being puppies!) From fostering she began boarding dogs in her home and also started her own dog training program! She realized her passion for puppies and finding them amazing homes, which is where she is today! She started Emerald Oak Acres and Doodles, and was really excited when five other families wanted to join in, so the load wasn’t all on one person!
All five homesteads raise Bernedoodles, Australian Mountain Doodles, Bernese Mountain Dogs and Golden Mountain Doodles! All of our dogs live inside our home and everyone has been health tested!
We pride ourselves in starting the training and socialization process early on each puppy.
We start ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) for all of our puppies when they’re just 4 days old.
Benefits of ENS include more tolerance to stress, improved heart rate, stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands and greater resistance to disease.
As a result of ENS, puppies can typically withstand stressful situations much better and are less likely to react in an aggressive, overly anxious or fearful manner!
Whether you get a puppy from us or from another breeder, this is something you should ensure the breeder does to help your puppy in the long run!
